I pray you all vote
tomorrow. This is the first time I will have been able to vote for a
federal election and I am exited. Not only do I have a chance to
exercise my democratic right that many countries do not have, but I am a
firm believer that if you don't vote then you have no right to bitch
about the government. For that reason alone I hope you all go out
tomorrow, and if you aren't of voting age then I urge you to talk to any
older siblings or especially your parents about who and why they are
voting to learn something.
If you are still undecided Here are the websites of the
Conservative,
Liberal,
NDP, and
Green Party.
Read their platforms and see which ones best fit how you feel. Don't
listen to all the fear scare commercials on the TV and Radio, make a
decision for yourself (and if your parents or siblings haven't decided
then send them to read the platforms too). If you can't decide on
a party then just vote for Green party because they need all the votes
they can get!
Just think of how many people have died in history to give us
everything in life that we take for granted. Exercise your right,
exercise your privilege.

12 hours from the time I'm writing this my good friend Brett
will be on a plane to Europe for 2 months. What better way
to say Goodbye than a pub
crawl!
What's with the T-shirts you ask? Well a friend of ours found
them in a warehouse he works in and they have been there since
1989 needless to say despite Brett washing them they all smelled
like dirty crayons but were funny nontheless.
See you all at The Bassment tonight! |

SOOOOOO Guess who isn't allowed to donate blood for 1
year because I've been to a Rain Forest in Mexico in the last
six months!!!
OOOOH YEAH!!!!
Funny thing is that I finally decided to listen to the
Vampires and go donate blood and now I can't. No problem for me!
I still got a donut out of the whole thing too!

I feel like I'm going into show withdral!!! SOOOO I
(and all of you!) am going to the next three shows this weekend
and I hope to see you all there!
Don't forget to save your pennies for Sunday night too as
Webster is great! (provided they haven't gotten a crappy
vocalist because last time I saw them they didn't have a
vocalist and they were just good "music") |

Give it a second listen.
Last year before Warped Tour I made it a
point to “sample” all of the bands that would be there so that I
knew which ones to listen to when I was there. Glassjaw, a
“screamo band” I guess, didn’t really appeal to me last summer
when I tried listening to them, but now, a year later, I can’t
stop listening to them! My music tastes changed, and I grew into
the CD.
Back in grade 10, I bought the new Beastie
Boys CD Hello Nasty. I thought IT WAS TERRIBLE!!! I
forced myself to listen, but I just couldn’t bring myself to
it. Just after I bought the CD I told my
friend how much I didn't like it and he offered to buy it off
me....I pondered it, but then decided I would give the CD
another try. Six months later the CD never left my discman. I
ended up buying every Beastie Boys CD.
I’m sure I far from need to tell you this,
but, at least for me, the CDs I hate at first turn out to be the
ones that never leave my discman, and the ones that don’t leave
my discman when I first buy them end up getting boring fast.
The point of this is to tell you to go
over to that stack of CDs you have. Pull out the CD’s that you
only listened to once or twice, and force yourself to
listen to them again. Maybe that CD really was terrible….maybe
it may never leave your discman.
