What a productive evening! Studied at school till 11pm,
caught The Pinch at Amigo's, The Path of a Logical Liar and Dirtbred at
Wash 'n Slosh and then went back to Amigo's just in time to see Savage
Henry and The Pinch's second set!
All the pictures will be up soon but I gotta rest up for
HOT HOT HEAT tonight! See you there!

I took this last night at 1:30am. The air was filled
with "ice crystals" it seemed and that made all the lights shine straight
up!

Ryan's stupid idea of the day: Today I was sitting
class and thinking about how many TENS of thousands of pages of
notes I have taken...and yet I never read them...
I said this to my friend Ross and he agreed, but then remarked
that at least it kept us awake during class. I agreed with this, but
also believe something better should come out of mindlessly copying
down notes from an overhead that I will never read...SOOO I decided
I am going to start taking notes with my left hand. Sure it
will be difficult at first, but I'm sure with practice (see picture
on left) I will eventually become
ambidextrous and some good will have come out of taking all of
these notes. I mean, its not like I learn from them anyways (I just
read the textbook), so I might as well be developing a cool skill so
I can say "I can write with both hands, what the hell have you
done with your life?!" |

Ever wanted to walk
around down town Calgary for an afternoon?
So yes I am super lame and missed the Thursday Bassment
show because I was at school studying once again (all this studying better
pay off!) but I will be at the Louis' show on Saturday with Junior
Panthers and The Wheatmonkeys on Saturday night so there!

I went to the Remembrance Day ceremony on Tuesday at Sask
Place. Over 7000 people were there which was great!
Why did I go? (Yes, someone actually asked me that!)
For the same reason that I voted: Because
people have died for what I take for granted.....

My midterms are finally over! (Except for the one I
have in another week and then finals two weeks later...) So that's
why I haven't been updating...and now...that midterms are over...you
will have to wait even longer cuz I'm going to Calgary for the
weekend!
If you voted on Wednesday I hope you find the note I left for my
parents funny cuz I sure do!
See you on Monday! (I hear Samuel the Black Shaman is
playing at the Bassment....)

So I went to see Dropkick Murphys with The
Casualties and The Disasters in Regina last night and... as you can
see from the awesome pictures I have above I wasn't allowed to take
pictures because the band managers had asked Surreal to not allow
large SLR cameras in = everyone with a small disposable camera got
pictures but I couldn't :(
On the other hand though, this was actually the
first show I've been to in the last year where I didn't have to
spend the whole time worrying about "the perfect shot"... punkoryan
got to "just enjoy the show" for once which was cool ... but then
again I'd rather enjoy a show AND take pictures! oh well... |
