Alana Dahlen, 34, a fringe performer with the performance Merle Minsky presents Madame Minsky's Boudoir Beauties, found her car to be stolen on the night of August 14th with her performance costumes and other performer's items as well. All she has left is two sun shades which she had previously ordered and received the day after the theft. She has been able to gather some new costumes to wear from friends. Cpl. Grant Trudel is in tears as he speaks to media Sunday at the Jefferson Armouries in Edmonton. The 25-year-old has hardly slept since his best friend, Master Cpl. Raymond Arndt, was killed in Afghanistan Saturday. Trudel was among about 20 members of Arndt's reserve regiment, known as "the Eddies," that met at the Jefferson Armoury to speak to the media.

Three Canadian Task Force Afghanistan Soldiers walk towards the Shell Aerocentre with a family who was being transported from Trenton, Ont. to Edmonton early Saturday morning. Over 100 soldiers returned to Edmonton from a six month duty in Afghanistan. The family, who would not give their names, were non-duty dependant family members of a soldier in Edmonton.
